Weather Instruments- Rain Gauge

A rain gauge measures rainfall in a certain amount of time. Its unit it uses is inches or centimeters. The usual rain gauge used today works by a large cylinder, collects one tenth of its area of rainfall. This gauge has been used by forecasters and regular people for about one hundred years.
