Weather Instruments- Hydrometer

A hydrometer measures the specific gravity of a certain liquid. The unit it uses is, SG. A hydrometer is usually a tube or jar and you fill it up with any certain liquid. It has two weighing chambers, one in the air and one in water. when you put something like a rock or mineral in the liquid, you measure how high the liquid goes up and thats the specific gravity.
